The setup guide for SalesForce Commerce Cloud includes three separate steps. Make sure you complete all three: 


Download the Cartridge

Download the OSF cartridge from the marketplace: https://www.demandware.com/link-marketplace/osf-gigya-connector.

Import the Cartridge into SalesForce Commerce Cloud

Import the int_gigya_controllers cartridge into the SalesForce Commerce Cloud Studio Workspace:

  1. Open SalesForce Commerce Cloud Studio.
  2. Select File > Import > General > Existing Projects into Workspace.
  3. Browse to the directory where you have saved the "int_gigya_controllers" cartridge.
  4. Click Finish.
  5. Click OK when prompted to link the cartridge to the sandbox.

Import Site Preferences and Custom Objects

1. Import the Custom Site Preferences and System Object definitions into the SalesForce Commerce Cloud Business Manager:

  1. Log into the SalesForce Commerce Cloud Business Manager.
  2. Click Administration > Sites Development > Import & Export.
  3. Click the upload link or button in the Import & Export Files section.
  4. Use the upload control to browse for the gigya_metadata.xml file.
  5. Click Upload.
  6. Click the << Back button at the bottom of the page.
  7. Click the Import link or button under the Meta Data section.
  8. Select the Gigya_metadata.xml file that was just uploaded.
  9. Click Next.
  10. When validation is complete, click Import.

3. Import the Reaction Type object.

  1. Log into SalesForce Commerce Cloud Business Manager.
  2. Select the desired site from the tabs across the top of the page.
  3. Click Custom Objects > Import & Export.
  4. In the “Import and Export Files” section, click the Upload link or button.
  5. Use the upload control to browse for the gigya_custom_objects.xml file included in the cartridge.
  6. Click the Upload button and notice that the gigya_custom_objects.xml is now in the Import Files list below.
  7. Click the Back button.
  8. Click the Import button or link under Custom Objects (XML) section.
  9. Select the radio button next to gigya_custom_objects.xml and click the Next >> button.
  10. After validation has completed click Next >>.
  11. Leave Merge selected as the import mode and Click the Import button.

4. Import the Web Services definitions into the SalesForce Commerce Cloud Business Manager

  1. Log into the SalesForce Commerce Cloud Business Manager.

  2. Click Administration > Operations > Import & Export.

  3. In the “Import & Export Files” section, click the Upload link or button.

  4. Use the upload control to browse for the Gigya_services.xml file.

  5. Click Upload.

  6. Click the Back button at the bottom of the page.

  7. Click Import link or button under the “Services” section.

  8. Select the Gigya_services.xml file that was just uploaded.

  9. Click Next.

  10. When validation is complete, click Import.

Configure the Business Manager

1, Append int_gigya_controllers to the effective cartridge path:

  1. Log into the SalesForce Commerce Cloud Business Manager on the Staging Server.
  2. Click Administration > Sites > Manage Sites.
  3. Select the desired site.
  4. Click on the Settings tab.
  5. Append :int_gigya_controllers to the Cartridges field.
  6. Click Apply.

2. Configure Gigya Custom Preferences using the SalesForce Commerce Cloud Business Manager:

  1. Log into the SalesForce Commerce Cloud Business Manager.
  2. Select the desired site from the tabs across the top of the page.
  3. Click Site Preferences > Custom Preferences.
  4. There are multiple Gigya customization sections. A description of the configuration items is available in the Gigya site preferences section.

    To use this cartridge with a storefront with pipelines, it needs to set the configuration item “Storefront controller integration” to NO. 

Install the Cartridge

Instructions for a First Installation

  1. Open SalesForce Commerce Cloud Studio.
  2. Click File > Import > General > Existing Files into Workspace.
  3. Browse to the int_gigya_controllers directory.
  4. Click Finish.
  5. Log into the Business Manager.
  6. Go to Administration > Sites > Manage Sites.
  7. Select [YOUR SITE].
  8. Click on the Settings tab.
  9. Append :int_gigya_controllers to the Cartridges field.
  10. Click Apply.

Instructions for Upgrading from an Older Version

System Object Definitions

  1. Log into Business Manager
  2. Go to Administration > Site Development > Import & Export > Upload.
  3. Upload Metadata/gigya_metadata.xml.
  4. Click << Back
  5. Go to Meta Data > Import 
  6. Select gigya_metadata.xml
  7. Click Next >>
